Christine and Matt E session

I’ve been horrible at getting posts to my blog this year- but it’s changing as of now…

Christine and Matt are such an awesome couple and I cant wait to photograph their wedding in September in Bennington.! A couple of weeks ago, they traveled from Upstate New York to Vermont so we could spend some time together and do an engagement session. After an hour of chat time at my studio, we head down to Oakledge Park to make some romantic portraits!

It was one of those “sexy ugly” days that we get in Vermont during mud season (called “Spring”, in the rest of the country)! It was a coldish, overcast day, no leaves on the trees, muted colors as the green grass fought desperately with the browns and grays of the season. This über cool couple embraced the weather, though, and just concentrated on their time together…

Christine and Matt are self proclaimed “geeks who dont know how to take a good picture”, but I THINK NOT! I loved seeing how sweet and genuine they are together and photographing the love that totally radiates when they hold hands and look into each other’s eyes. I just love LOVE!

The couple met through friends about 6 years ago. Matt was playing Bass in a band and had just finished hiking the Appalachian trail. Their life together was always about the music. While still making “beautiful music together” (Sorry, couldn’t resist!), Matt is now a Micro Biologist and Christine works for Progressive Insurance. Their wedding will be over 200 people and their band friends will be performing so I hope Matt joins them for at least a partial set!

A cool part of photographing Christine and Matt is that I also photographed Christine’s brother’ Michael’s wedding about 10 years ago when he married the lovely Kathy! They now have 2 little boys and I also cant wait to see them again at Christine and Matt’s wedding. I love when I get to revisit a family and see how they have grown together.

I so look forward to working with Matt and Christine in the Fall. I can tell that this will be one of those weddings that I gush about for months after!! xo
