Julie and John extended the holiday spirit with a “Day-After-Christmas” wedding in Grand Isle. It was an intimate celebration; just immediate family, and with Julie‘s brother officiating the short and sweet ceremony.
The couple got ready at the house John is building for them. Though the structure is completed, the interior still looked like a construction zone.
Their home-to-be was easily made festive for the occassion with the addition of a Christmas tree, a few ornaments and decorations– and some beverages to drink while getting ready! The parents were all on-hand also to help John and Julie prepare.
Fun portraits in front of the tree…
Then off to friends’s barn for the ceremony.
This was no ordinary barn, though, but more like a carriage house. It included a spiral staircase up to a loft and lookout tower, and a vintage red Beetle parked just inside the entrance. It looked magical under the night sky and the glow of a crescent moon.
The ceremony lasted less than five minutes.
John read to Julie.
Julie read to John.
And then they kissed.
Oh, and then they did a Happy Dance!
Congratulations, John and Julie! May you always celebrate the holidays with memories of your beautiful wedding!
