Mika and Cliff were married on a spectacular late fall day in Manchester, Vermont. The wedding ceremony was held at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church and then a beautiful reception followed at the Equinox’s Pond Pavilion. This is one of Vermont’s hidden gems for a wedding celebration, with breathtaking views of the Green Mountains overlooking Equinox pond.
I call Mika an Angelina Jolie look-a-like, but even Angelina couldn’t have looked better than Mika in that wedding dress. She was stunning! Cliff was equally as handsome in his tux and white tie, offset by his boutonniere of orange sweetheart roses, and he beamed when he saw his bride-to-be walk down the aisle of the church.
The party was run by one of my favorite DJ’s, Paul Pecor from SuperSounds and the crowd was totally into getting down on the dance floor and letting loose. I always love watching adults and kids mix it up together at weddings and let the music bridge the age barriers. From 7 to 70, everyone had a ball.
This was my last big wedding of the season and it left me smiling and whistling and just so happy that I do what I do for a living. Weddings are such joyous and monumental lifecycle events and I get to witness one almost every Saturday from May though October. It’s an honor, really, and a pretty wonderful way to spend a Summer and Fall. Then, I relive these celebrations all winter when I put together the wedding albums, bringing on even more smiles and more whistling! Finally, throughout the winter and spring, I meet with new bridal couples, photograph their engagement sessions and see how excited they all get as the year goes on and their dates get closer.
I love my job! So, congratulations to Mika and Cliff and to all of my awesome couples from the 2010 season!
