The ONE fashion event!

The ONE fashion Event was held at Higher Ground last night to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington, featuring fashions from over 15 stores and local designers. For the 4th year running, it was THE place to be for boatloads of fun, fashion, shmoozing and dancing to music provided by DJ Rob Jones from Top Hat Entertainment.  The event, sponsored by KeyBank & City Market Onion River Co-op, opened with a performance by the Urban Dance Complex and , as tradtion held, culminated with a runway show of clothing designed by Boys & Girls Club members and alumni.

It was such a great night, a great cause and GREAT PICURES! I was thrilled to help out! Check out this fun slideshow to Chris Brown’s “FOREVER”  and be sure to put the event on your calendars for next year:

Chris and Helen’s (not so) beach wedding

The winds blew, the rain came and the tent went down!!

And along with the tent, went the hopes and plans of Chris and Helen for their beach wedding on the sandy shore of Manzanita, Oregon.  With just  hours to the ceremony, their two families banded together to reinvent the wedding at a nearby Methodist church, who’s pastor volunteered to open their doors (and function room!) to the couple.

Decorations were hung, linens were spread and the bar was stocked! And at 6 pm on September 6, Helen came down the aisle to the guests all singinig, “Going To the Chapel and I’m Gonna Get Married!”  (Did I mention that the planned music didnt work either??)

In the end, it was one of the most romantic, loving and beautiful weddings I have ever attended and it didnt matter at all that the wedding party’s flipflopped-clad feet weren’t dancing in the sand!

Explorer 8 does quirky things to my blog!

I’ve just learned that when you view my blog with the browser “Explorer 8″, all of my photos look squished and distorted. So, until I figure this out and correct the issue, please do the following:

At the top of your screen, click on “page” and scroll down to “style” (it’s right under ‘text size’). Then click on NO STYLE. This will make the photos look like photos again, and not  weird distorted images that gives you a headache!

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience. I have a call into Bill Gates and I’ll get to the bottom of this soon!

Tim and Andy’s Wedding video: I made this video to represent all of the civil unions I have photographed in Vermont and to celebrate all of the same sex weddings I will now be able to shoot after September 1, 2009.
